Free tells you where a card stands.
Pro tells you the moment it moves.
One decision engine, two levels of access. The verdicts are identical. What changes is how many cards you can run, how fresh the call is, and how much evidence sits underneath it.
Free
Enough to see whether the model agrees with you about the cards you already argue about.

Pro
For a collection you actually trade out of, where a verdict flipping overnight is the thing you needed to know.
- ✓Unlimited itemswhole binders, whole sealed shelves

- ✓All three price layersMarket Ask, Last Sold and Graded side by side, with the ask/sold spread
- ✓Verdict-change alertstold when a card crosses a regime boundary: the trough that turned into a decline
- ✓Watchliststrack cards you do not own yet on the same engine
- ✓Grading ROIexpected value across grade outcomes against the real PSA fee, tier and turnaround, including when it says don't
- ✓Landed-cost viewfees, postage and FX folded in, so the number is what reaches you
- ✓6- and 12-month history with trends, plus CSV export
What actually differs.
The model, the weights and the regime rules are the same on both plans. We do not run a weaker engine for free users. We run a smaller, slower window onto the same one.

Rows marked live above are read from the desk's own /api/plan tier definition where it defines them; the rest describe the Pro feature set as specified.
Three price layers, on a real card, right now.
This is the live layer stack for one card in the archive. Free sees the first tile. Pro sees all three, including the one that comes back empty, because a layer we cannot source is reported as unavailable with the reason attached rather than quietly filled in with the nearest number to hand.
Before you pay for anything.
Is the free plan a demo?
No. Free runs the same seven signals, the same regime classifier and the same verdict thresholds as Pro. The limits are on scale (50 items), freshness (a 24-hour delay) and evidence depth (Market Ask only). The call you see on a free plan is the call the model made.
What does "verdicts delayed 24 hours" mean in practice?
The archive is topped up continuously. On Free your portfolio is scored against yesterday's state of it, so a verdict that flipped this morning reaches you tomorrow. On a Hold Long that rarely matters. On a card sliding out of a reprint trough into a structural decline, it is the whole point.
Why is one of the three price layers sometimes empty on Pro too?
Because a true completed-sales median needs eBay's Marketplace Insights API, a restricted scope these credentials have not been granted. Paying for Pro does not conjure a source that does not answer. What Pro guarantees is that you see the layer, its state and its reason, and that nothing is ever substituted for it. The graded tile is labelled as asking prices from active listings for the same reason: graded slabs list above what they clear.
Do verdict-change alerts fire on every price wobble?
No. They fire on regime and verdict changes, not on price ticks. A card can drop several percent and stay Hold Long; that is not an alert. A card crossing from Reprint Trough into Structural Decline is.
What is the landed-cost view?
Marketplace prices are not what reaches you. The landed-cost view folds fees, postage and the currency conversion into the number so the band you are reading is comparable to money in your account rather than a headline price.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, and you drop back to the Free tier rather than losing your collection. Deleting your account entirely is a separate action and lives in account settings.
Is this financial advice?
No. HoldOrSell is a research aid. It produces directional signals and estimates, it is wrong sometimes by design, and you make your own decisions. See the Terms of Service.
