Not lawyer-reviewed
This is a plain-language starting point written to be honest and clear. It is not a
lawyer-reviewed document. Before a public launch these terms and the privacy policy should be
reviewed and finalised by a qualified lawyer for the operator's jurisdiction and for users'
jurisdictions. Treat this as scaffolding, not as a finished legal instrument.
Summary
By creating an account you agree that the card data in your collection (which sets and cards you own, and market prices) may be used in aggregated, de-identified form to improve the platform's models and shared card database. Your account email and the specific price you paid for a card are private and are not shared with other users.

SIGNAL DESK: TERMS & DATA USE (plain-language summary) 1. What this tool is. Signal Desk is a research aid for Pokémon TCG collectors. It produces directional sell/hold signals and estimates. It is not financial advice and will be wrong sometimes by design. You make your own decisions. 2. Your account. You provide an email and a password. Your password is stored only as a secure one-way hash, so we cannot see it. Keep your login private. 3. Data you provide. When you upload a collection, we store your cards (set, name, number, rarity), quantities, and the price you paid if you provide it. The price you paid and your email are treated as PRIVATE and are not shown to other users. 4. How we use card data (the consent). You agree that the non-personal parts of your collection data (which cards and sets exist in collections, and their market prices over time) may be used in AGGREGATED and DE-IDENTIFIED form to improve the platform: to build a shared card database (release dates, reprint history, price history) and to improve the scoring models. This shared card data benefits all users and does not identify you. 5. What we do NOT do. We do not sell your personal information. We do not publish the price you paid or your identity. We do not display third-party ads inside the tool. 6. Shared card database. Facts about cards themselves (release dates, reprints, price history) are shared across all users as a single source. Your ownership of specific cards is not part of that shared source in any identifiable way. 7. Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and your private collection data. 8. Changes. If these terms change materially, we will ask you to review and re-consent. 9. No warranty. The tool is provided as-is, without warranty. Use at your own risk. By checking the consent box at sign-up, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms, including the data-use described in section 4.

Naming
The product is presented as HoldOrSell. The engine and the consent text above were written
under the internal name Signal Desk, and that name is left as-is rather than silently rewritten,
because the text reproduced here is the exact text the application serves and asks you to consent to.
Points worth reading twice
- Not financial advice. Verdicts are directional signals and estimates. The tool is wrong sometimes by design. Every decision, and its consequences, are yours.
- Section 4 is the consent that matters. Aggregated, de-identified card and price data improves the shared model. What you paid, and who you are, are not part of it.
- Deletion is a right, not a favour. You can request deletion of your account and your private collection data. See account settings.
- Material changes require re-consent. If these terms change materially you will be asked to review and agree again, rather than being opted in silently.
See also the Privacy Policy, which describes the same commitments from the data-handling side.
